Hi, I am a software engineer. I have completed my graduation in August 2020 with a computer science degree. I will give my interview experience with google so honestly. I know the blog is going to be lengthy. so I am going to divide it into parts.

Google Hiring Process

I applied to google on Aug 2020 for the Software engineer (University Graduate ) position. In Dec 2020 one recruiter from google reach out to me saying they thought to proceed with my Resume and told me to book a google calendar slot for the 15 min general talk with a recruiter .

Recruiter Call

In that 15 min, the recruiter asked me basic Algo Ds questions ( ex: Worst-case complexity of merge sort ). I gave all the questions answers correctly and the recruiter told me that she wants to proceed with me for the next round ( Technical Phone Interview).

Technical Phone Interview

In Jan 2021, I had my interview. I was a bit nervous and also super excited cause I was really waiting for that moment for 1 year. and it means a lot to me.

it was a 45 min coding interview. The interviewer was really friendly. he gave a question ( that was a medium-level Dp question). At first, I ask some clarifying questions and struggle with it a bit and got the naive approach in 5–10 min and then I really struggle to reach the optimal approach the interviewer gave me some hints and finally I catch those hints understood and wrote a readable, clean code.

RESULT- After 4–5 days I got this round result. The recruiter gave me feedback on my Interview. The feedback was really mixed. They told me they want to take one more phone Interview round and gave me 2 weeks for prep. I was really happy cause they gave me one more chance means something is good.

Second Technical Phone Interview

On Feb first week, I have my Second Technical Interview. but, I had some discussion with the Interviewer but due to Internet Issue canceled this round and I wrote a mail to my recruiter about this issue. she gave me one more chance and booked my interview once again after 4 days.

I told her that I feel very unprepared. If I get 1 month, I can prepare well for it cause I am also working at a company. and she told me that she will give me 1 month time for preparation. I feel really blessed ( everything was happening like a dream ).

After 10–15 days I got a call from a recruiter from Google saying that they want to take me directly to the onsite Rounds .and I was super duper excited and happy.

I will be sharing my onsite rounds experience on the next Blog.😊

Thank you so much for reading so far. Hope you must get some benefits from this blog. Clap if you like this Blog and not forget to Follow me for more useful Blogs.
